For the best burn:

Trim your wood wick to 1/8 inch (about 0.2 inches) before each lighting
Remove any charred wood bits from the wax surface between burns
Allow candle to cool for 24 hours before first trim
Burn for 2-4 hours at a time to achieve a full melt pool
